Ecorus wins Sustainability Award for Non-Residential!
Utility project of the year: Sunbathing area Groetpolder
The fairytale Slot Zeist was the scene of the first edition of the gala that put the solar energy sector in the spotlight. From the Hout & Hout mask characters that moved on wind and solar energy to the exquisite dinner: the approximately 200 attendees were delighted to be entertained and reflected on a special year.
The first award of the evening was awarded to the Utility project of the year. Winner is the project Sunbathing area Groetpolder that was realized by Ecorus. The 4-kilometre-long solar park in the municipality of Hollands Kroon meanders along a dike, ensuring optimal landscape integration.
Brand & Marketing Director Gilbert James Weber is delighted with the win: 'The solar park with 44,712 solar panels is connected via cable pooling to the grid connection of the adjacent wind turbines. This prize is a crowning achievement for our work and the many challenges that have been overcome in this project.'
