The journey of Fledderbosch: from vision to handover

The development of a solar park is a complex and multi-year endeavor that involves careful planning, collaboration, and precise execution. One such project, Fledderbosch, has been a major focus for Ecorus since the kick-off in 2017. After eight years of hard work, the project has now successfully reached its final FAC stage: the full handover to the new owner, CEE. Most importantly, we managed to deliver the entire project without any issues. That’s a huge achievement after nearly a decade of work.

The journey to completion is marked by several key milestones:

  1. Construction completion (20/03/2024)
This marks the end of the physical build phase of the park. At this point, the site is technically complete, and extensive testing begins to ensure all systems function as designed.

  2. PAC: Provisional Acceptance Certificate (21/05/2024)
This milestone indicates the official professional acceptance of the solar park. It confirms that the project meets the agreed-upon technical and operational criteria and can begin generating energy commercially.

  3. Defects liability period
Following PAC, the park enters a 1–2 year period during which it must perform in line with the energy production guarantees provided to the client. This includes evaluating how much sunlight was available and whether the energy output met expectations. It’s a critical phase where reliability and consistency are put to the test.

  4. FAC – Final Acceptance Certificate
The final milestone, yes! With these final tasks completed, ownership and full responsibility have now transferred to CEE. From this point forward, any operational matters are no longer under Ecorus’ liability. Side note: we are addressing the last remaining things for Fledderbosch: leveling the field more precisely and checking all connectors.
